It’s that time again. Open City is nearly upon us and we are excited to participate once again! A slew of local businesses are once again getting together to promote all things local. There’s free parking being offered all over the place and there’s a new scavenger hunt to participate in this year. We have lots of cool events planned for this Saturday and we hope that you can make it down to participate.
1. Pig Butchery Demo – Getaway Farms Butcher Shop @ Saturday 2 pm.
Ever seen a whole pig broken down into retail cuts? Well, here’s your chance! At 2 pm on Saturday, Ben is going to wheel out a whole pig and demonstrate the practices of old-school butchery right before your eyes. Bring your camera!
2. Back Door Beer Bratwursts – Garrison Brewing @ 12 am to 4 pm
Garrison Brewing and Getaway Farms will be debuting the new Beer Bratwurst sausage. Come down to Garrison between 12 am and 4 pm where the Getaway family will be serving up sausages on a bun. $3 for one or $5 for two. It’s finally #BeerBrat time!
3. Scavenger Hunt – All over the place!
This year during Open City you can participate in the all new scavenger hunt. Download the trivia card and fill in the answers for a chance to win prizes from all 55 participating businesses valued at over $1,000!
